What size cake do I need? Cake serving sizes.

It can be stressful trying to figure out which size cake to by to feed all of your guests. Here is a helpful chart with cake serving sizes to guide you through the process.

Our small 2 tier serves 36 people, our small 3 tier cake serves 75 people, and our 4 tier serves 135 people. We recommend getting a 3 to 4 tier cake for events with 75 or more guests. If your guest count is higher than 75 or 135 we recommend supplementing your main cake with sheet cake, mini desserts, or a groom’s cake for weddings. When people find out that a 3 or 4 tier cake won’t feed their entire guest count their first instinct is to add more tiers to the cake. How ever it is more cost effective to add a kitchen cake or desserts to your order. The average price of cake is $6 per serving while the average cost of a dessert is $3.50 per serving. A serving of kitchen cake is $3 per serving.

We do not recommend getting more than 4 tiers for you cake because it is very hard to transport and hard to serve. If you still want the look of a large grand cake, we advise getting fake bottom tiers. This makes it easier to transport and ensures that the cake is stable.
